01 / Context

The problem
around the work.

The platform centralised financial spreading and statement analysis for wholesale credit risk. Specialised portfolios needed to move onto shared data models while credit officers continued their day-to-day analysis.

What made it interesting

Correctness and trust mattered alongside adoption. Different portfolio structures had to be represented in financial-statement models, and reporting changes had to preserve the output credit teams needed.

02 / Decisions & approach

How the work
took shape.

01

Understand the financial workflow

Worked closely with credit officers to resolve product, onboarding, and feature questions. Used that understanding to support financial-statement data models for specialised portfolios.

02

Automate the repeated reporting work

Analysed issues in portfolio-level reporting and built a VBA workflow to reduce the manual processing involved while preserving the required reporting format.

03

Support the move and the release

Partnered with technology and credit teams on portfolio migration. Performed product and feature testing for monthly Agile releases and helped develop KPI and regulatory reports.

03 / Outcome & evidence

What came
out of it.

Built a reporting automation that reduced manual effort by approximately 90%, using a conservative figure. Also supported portfolio migration, platform adoption, and ongoing releases.

The evidence

The résumés and LinkedIn profile corroborate the VBA automation, financial-data modelling, migration work, credit-officer support, and release testing.

04 / Reflection

What stays
with me.

This experience made accuracy and trust concrete: product decisions in financial systems affect downstream analysis, operations, and the people relying on the output.
